Amroha Races Toward Deadline as SIR Work Reaches 83% Completion, District Magistrate Urges Faster Pace

Amroha district has completed 83% of its Service Improvement Report (SIR) work, with the Election Commission extending the deadline to December 11. The District Magistrate has urged teams to accelerate progress as BLOs, technical staff, and local representatives intensify field efforts to achieve full completion on time.

The ongoing Service Improvement Report (SIR) exercise in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district has reached an 83 percent completion mark, prompting the District Magistrate to call for accelerated efforts to meet the revised deadline issued by the Election Commission of India. Authorities confirmed that the Commission has extended the timeline for the SIR process from December 4 to December 11, giving the district limited but crucial additional time to finalize the work.

According to officials, a total of 279 Booth Level Officers are deployed across the district, supported by auxiliary and technical teams to ensure that all procedural requirements are met efficiently. Local governance bodies—including gram pradhans, ration dealers, and ward councillors—have also been actively contributing to the outreach and verification process, strengthening the administrative machinery’s reach at the grassroots level.

BLOs have been holding verification camps in their respective areas, allowing the SIR workflow to move at a quicker pace and enabling teams to address on-ground challenges in real time. The District Magistrate expressed confidence that the district will achieve full completion within the stipulated extension period, noting that the pace of work has visibly intensified following the revised deadline.

As Amroha pushes toward 100 percent compliance, the successful completion of the SIR exercise remains critical for ensuring accuracy and integrity in voter-related documentation and electoral preparedness across the district.
